I would be in favor of new Alaskan oil projects if most of the profits funnels into public works rejuvenating our aging roads and delapidated bridges....also give some money to the inner cities which need it so desperately, like here in Philly.

Hey Stephan... what the heck do you think that .35/gallon Federal and State gas tax is all about??

And the Alaska Permanent Fund has $27 BILLION in assets and distributes some $1,900/year to each Alaska resident, no matter what the age. Maybe you need to move there.. They have GREAT roads..

You need to talk to Al Gore about why Federal Gas taxes are siphoned off into other non-transportation projects.

And while you're at it.. ask him why Federal Tobacco taxes aren't solely funneled into prevention and smoker addiction programs, will ya??

Regards,

Ron
