That is not a bad analysis. I would say that these debates are almost always a tie, because they do not truly resolve anything, and because each candidate is well- prepped. I don't even mind those who thought Gore had the edge, although I would give the edge to Bush, since they would be seeing him as having the more "wonkish" delivery, which is standard for this sort of debate. The thing is, who "won" the debate is the wrong question. The overall impression that people get of the candidates from the exposure is what will carry the day. On that, Bush gained the most, and is likely to gain even more as people talk about it.........
