One G* phone, no car kit. < 5 minutes/month.

I like the idea of the sim card. I've been trying to figure out how to take only my G* phone when traveling. I even called the local Verizon G* dealer and offered to drop my sprint cell account and convert to Verizon if they would let me put the two numbers (G* cell and regular cell) on a "shared minute" plan. Sprint has such a plan. I figured that way even though paying two monthly fees I could at least use all the bundled minutes even if I didn't use my G* phone that month. I would then simply forward my regular cell to my G* cell when traveling.

Of course Verizon told me they have no such plan. Guess they figure if they're willing to burn all those unused G* satellite minutes in space, I should be willing to burn my G* cell minutes as well. Real helpful sales guy. He did know what a G* phone was. Seemed surprised that I would be concerned about burned cell minutes. His attitude was one of: at the price of that phone, what's another $30 per month.
