CY's new main customer CSCO is doing well - confirming CY's
news of a fast ramp to supply CSCO.

dailynews.yahoo.com

"Separately, Redfield said that the quadrupling of Cisco's backlog as of last Monday to $3.83 billion from a year-earlier $922 million was not so much a result of components shortages that have wreaked havoc in high technology, but rather a consequence of strong demand."

Ted, I don't know how to best answer your question. It is very open ended.

When investing I look for what I determine to be "value." This does not mean value by traditional metrics. This means that the net present value (NPV) of all future earnings discounted by the current "risk free" rate of return (often considered the long bond rate) is greater than the current price of the stock.

IMO, on any given day, the price of any stock is based on the balance between knowledge and ignorance. I decide if those that have a NPV greater than their price have a value based on ignorance or knowledge and, if ignorance, how long will it take for Wall Street to catch on.

CY is broadly misunderstood. Wall Street has them pegged as an SRAM house. Their valuation is based on ignorance. IMO, their low end NPV is $60. I think TJ will do his best to clear up this ignorance, but what can you say for a bunch of clowns who trash the entire semi sector because DELL is going to come up 3% short. DELL could go out of business and it wouldn't effect CY or half the companies who fell in sympathy.

Oh well, advantage to the informed.

Regards, pmcw
