Mike:If ADSL is to go SBC's Pronto way, i.e., pulling fiber closely to the neighbourhood, then I am thinking that it is not only telcos that will pull fiber all the way to the cable cabinet and use only the secondary part of the cable. (VDSL model)

Wouldn't you think that operators -other than the telcos- could pull fiber right to the basement, curb, parking lot, garden and backyard? Then you would just wire the premises.

Wouldn't that spell ADSL (as per ADSL Forum) death?
