The latest Reuters/MSNBC daily tracking poll released on
Wednesday, but taken before the Tuesday night debate, showed
Gore with a slim five-point lead over Bush.
The poll, conducted by John Zogby, surveyed 1,209 likely
voters between Sunday and Tuesday and found the vice president
leading the Texas governor 46 percent to 41 percent, five weeks
ahead of the Nov. 7 election. The margin of error was plus or
minus 3 percentage points, meaning that Gore's lead was within
that margin.

Yep. I think Dubya looked and sounded Presidential. Gore did well also. But I think Dubya answered a lot of questions. No doubt Gore came across as more pushy, etc. That seemed to hit home with a lot of people. My complaint with Bush is that he was too easy on Gore on the character issue and that he did not skewer Gore on his oft repeated and false tax statements. JLA
