Your right in that they probably won't abandon him because he screwed up their biggest shot at a tax cut in decades.

Yes, there's plenty of goodies to hand out once in office.

But, I certainly think it's not to his advantage to advertise the fact he blew the tax cut...though I have a feeling the Gore camp will eventually make a great deal of hay out it if they're paying attention...and it will not look good nor inspire confidence.
