Dear Ken: No its not emotional, I dont even pay any attention to him anymore. I just noticed over time his story changes back and forth as the market goes up and down. You'll see within 3 weeks I bet he's a bull again. haha.
My approach to investing is based upon Laziness!! Pick a fine company, wait till the market goes a little nuts and buy. Easy as pie. I forgot to mention in my previous post, IMHO the most IMPORTANT consideration for successful investing isnt SMARTS, isnt EDUCATION, its simply PATIENCE. Its very easy to know who the market leaders are as everyone will tell you. Then when there is a pullback buy it. AS TO SUNW, I hereby declare it is in a PULLBACK having dropped over 20% from its high with EVEN ROSIER future then the past. Similar also is EMC. I suspect one will have up to a week to act then it will be KATIE BAR THE DOOR. JDN

So SUNW dropped another six points today. Lets see, it peaked at around $129. Assuming I sold at exactly the top. The tax on this stock (basis == 0 effectively) would mean the stock would have to drop to $83 before I could purchase those same shares back again.

Granted, at that point, my basis would be non-taxable, but that still gives me 17 points of downside from *here* before I would have been better off 'timing the market'.

P.

(Edit: I will re-run this analysis when SUNW bottoms, and starts climbing again, and gets back to $129, then we'll see how much I lost by 'timing and taxing')
