I couldn't believe it. Bush needs to hire a new speech writer. All he had to do was give us about thirty seconds of information on what we could expect from an administration founded on principle centered leadership...slam dunk; but he stumbled over the campaign finance issue and it was difficult to even understand what his point was. Then Gore was allowed to get up on his high horse as if he had principles. Bush blew the greatest opportunity of the campaign. Its over as far as I can see and this was the key play that was missed.

Gore also got away with harping on Roe v Wade as if a society as complex as todays can determine its course based on this one issue. It's like we're in the land of the lilliput and all we have to decide is which end of the egg to open.

I'm not saying that responsibility for the unborn is important, its just that Gore should not get away with claiming it is the only issue.
