No, they were doing put warrants which can be covered by issuing stock. Besides, this was all a scam tied into the employee stock option program so it never hits the income statement. I think; never have looked into this obverse side of the coin too hard, but I think I'm correct. Maybe Myth has, because he is in the finance dept of a real company. Shareholders get shagged the same though. It just won't be quite as clear for the dopes to figure out. The real impact is that employee compensation costs are going to start rising because option grants are no longer a sure bet to becoming a millionaire.
