Re: Foreign policy

Don't forget what a wonderful job the Administration has done in the Middle East.

I liked the examples you used but I would substitute Somalia for Haiti.

>>>Finally, if Gore gets aggressive, well, Bush has only to ask if the public wants 4 more years of scandal. The answer, of course, is no...........<<<

You mean four more years of Republicans making up scandals because, due to the very good economy, it's believed that's the best way to regain control over the White House. If any party which has demonstrated it wants in your bedroom, it's the Republican Party.

Oddly, however, they only wanna get in the bedrooms of Democrats because they think what they'll find will make good news copy and perhaps influence Americans that Republicans have the high moral ground. How can the Republicans have high moral ground with the likes of evangelist Jimmy Baker, former speakers, Newt Gingrich and Bob Livingston, Republican strategist Roger Stone and two-fisted, hired-gun, Dick Morris, among others, who've worked on the family values issues for Republicans. Seems there was somewhat of a mirror in the remarks of the above-named folks, a mirror which the media saw causing a demise for each of 'em, except for Morris who still gets good play on FoxNews due to his association with FoxNews news director and former Republican operative, Roger Ailes.

What really did Bush do before he was 40 years old?

I say get Bush out of oil, don't let him get the presidency and send him back into baseball. I happen to think he's a good baseball man.

Neocon, I was surprised that none of the commentators had anything to say about the Governor's own Fuzzy mathematics". He kept saying that he will take over ten years $1 Trillion dollars from Social Security, and let the people invest it themselves, claiming that after 10 years they will have a total of $3 Trillion. Well, $1 trillion, is $100 Billion per year over ten years, and $8,333 Billions per month. If you were to invest every months for 120 months (ten years) $8,333 Billion you will end up at the end of $10 years with $3 Trillions, only if your rate of return (compounded monthly) is at least 19.32. I doubt that you can get that kind of returns over the next ten years, and certainly not with prudent investments. That is what I call "Fuzzy Mathematics". Surely, assuming that all citizen could is a fallacy.

Good luck out there.
