SUNW's chart clearly warned of a possible near-term dip:

siliconinvestor.com

The steady rise in August on decreasing volume suggested waning buying interest at higher prices. Finally, you had a significant upturn in volume as September's downtrend began. And the high volume continued as the stock churned through the rest of the month.

Now we have a sudden big drop on much increased volume -- again, a bad short-term sign.

This has no effect on long-term investors, for whom this is just a surprise buying opportunity. But short-term investors has adequate warning from the price/volume trends that "the market" considered SUNW overpriced at 130.
