According to a survey conducted by ICIS-LOR, based in London, Houston and Singapore, the 30-day (Aug. 17 to Sept. 15) rolling average spot price for 128MB DIMM (PC133) modules in North America dropped 0.95 percent to US$126.21, compared to the previous week. In Europe, it fell 1.56 percent to US$126.18, and it declined 1.89 percent in Asia to US$123.69. There had been an improvement in the previous week's 30-day (Aug. 10 to Sept. 8) rolling average prices, but the overall demand apparently made no recovery. The PC markets in the United States and Europe are losing momentum from the first half of 2000 as indicated in the downward revision of a business report from Intel Corp. for the third quarter of 2000. The rolling average prices of 128Mb DRAM (PC133, 16M x 8) modules for large-volume users for the 30-day period are as follows: US$15.82 in North America, US$16.67 in Europe and US$16.19 in Asia. Compared with the previous week (30-day rolling average through Sept. 8) the prices stayed the same in North America, rose 0.71 percent in Europe, and increased 1.30 percent in Asia.
