Dell stated that the "press" (WSJ) did contact them regarding "the slide". they informed them that no change in projections were being offered.

so if the Djones doesn't want to print their research it is up to them, not MD. MD was babbling from rooftops that no change in projections was needed at this time for the past two weeks. he stated on Oct 2 during a street interview. interviewer didn't print "the slide" comments.

what more can this supposed careless individual say?

people make up their own reasons for defining "darling". at this point it has little to do with growth prospects. this is about screwing you; not screwing MD. regardless of what happens, MD will be fine; but not the small shareholders.

venkster...the rest of the sector stabilized a while back....most off of the lows....the rhetoric that the pc is dead still hangs heavy over dell, and the results are obvious.....

thoughts of putting ibm out of business, china adding instantly to the bottom line, conquering the retail sector with the web pc, no need for appliance development, and now claims that the server and storage business is dells...

hope you got out a while back...

it will eventually stabilize, but the investment community doesn't place the emphasis on msd as they did.....

take care...ed a.

Well Donnie, I will be out of Dell after 8 years by 9:30 AM
with a stop set at 26. Kept maybe 320 shrs.
Have sold down for the last two years from the equivalent of 18,500 at prices of 43, 41, 40, 39 and each time had to feel stupid for months for selling so low because it would recover to 55 or 59 or 53 after that.
Its shame when Michael does the impossible, grows the company sales by $8 BILLION a year at a steady 8% ? margin
and gets trashed by street people for not doing better.?
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh.
How many $1 mm companies has an analyst created ?
How many $10 mm companies?
How many $100 mm companies?
Dell created the equivalent of 80-$100mm companies last year
Created a city of around 10,000 last year supporting the 3500 hundred new workers at Nashville. Made steady jobs for 18,000 workers in last two years.
Let no good deed go unpunished.
