Of course Christians have done all sorts of terrible things. My point is they do them in opposition to their worldview and not in concert with it. The fact that God commanded that all the Cannanites be killed is His prerogative. If you knew the Cannanites like God knew the Cannanites you might have ordered the same thing. We do not know all, so our judgements are not righteous. Even we though, would grant sanction to fallible human judges in say a murder trial.
Point; If God ordered the killing of someone, He is certainly justified in doing so. How can we hold an Infallible Omniscient God to a standard we would grant to fallible human judges?
Death is not the beginning of the end but the end of the beginning.
Makes me wonder if that is not being used as an excuse for evading ones own personal responsibility.
Have a good one
