Agreed. I am a little worried myself over the scope of the project of integrating 2 cores + northbridge. I would like to see a standalone x86-64 chip first.

On the other hand, the dual core would most likely have a shared L2, and at .13u, each core + its L1 would be < 50 mm^2 + another 50 to 100 mm^2 for L2 + Northbridge (it can't be to big at .13u). The whole die could be 200 mm^2, which is not unreasonable for a server chip.
