jmac, Here's a little tidbit about just how bad the sentiment for QCOM was(very recently). Technology Investor Magazine lists a series of portfolios every month. They moved QCOM from one of the main ones(Core Portfolio, I think) to Turnaround Portfolio during the summer. In the current issue(November), the removed it with the following statement:

"We threw in the towel on Qualcomm. There comes a point in your life when you don't want to hold a stock based on what the latest news out of China may be. Will China adopt CDMA or not? Which part of China?"

OK, you might ask what type of company remains in their Turnaround Portfolio. Try these examples:

Citrix Systems
DoubleClick
Loral
LSI Logic
Batwing

As a sentiment player, that's a bottom!!!!!!
