VERY OT lightwave, Just returned from a 3 day trip to Silverton, Colorado. I have only the very best memories of my first stay away from home. I spent the summer between high school and college in Silverton, working to earn money for college costs. Thanks for the reminder of a fabulous summer. --Mike Buckley

OT Re: Silverton Heaven on Earth! I try to get to Ouray every year, but have missed a couple. Corkscrew Gulch, Como Lake, Poughkeepsie Gulch, Imogene Pass (13,100' asl) and that amazing view from the Black Bear Pass road looking down into Telluride. Nothing like it. Pete silverton.org for a few pics
