NEW RELEASE DATED 10/4/2000

ROVAC GRANTED MEXICO PATENT for CinchLock TECHNOLOGY

Rochdale, MA October 4, 2000 -- ROVAC Corporation (OTC/ROVC) a developer of proprietary connecting devices and patent holder for CinchLock® and CinchFree™ today announced that it has received patent protection from the country of Mexico.

Mexico is approximately 3 times the area of Texas and has just under 100 million in population. The patent protection period runs through November of 2014.

Under the NIBCO agreement product can be shipped from their U.S. manufacturing locations or from their Reynosa, Mexico plant. NAFTA provisions allow for components to be repaired or “reproduced” duty free when shipment locations include Canada or the U.S.

Key components of CinchLock® technology are being manufactured by ROVAC in Massachusetts. NIBCO is incorporating CinchLock® components into their products and marketing and distributing the end products to the compressed air and irrigation markets. In accordance with the exclusive worldwide agreement for thermoplastics, NIBCO is presently in the process of developing other markets. The NIBCO trademark for products using CinchLock® technology is TruConnect™.

“We are pleased that our financial investment in pursuing additional patents is bearing fruit. Being granted our patent covering all of Mexico is very beneficial. As NIBCO currently has exclusive sales rights globally for the compressed air and irrigation markets, this patent will help protect their investment in developing additional markets in the Western Hemisphere.” stated R. E. Shea, Jr., Vice-President.

NIBCO, is a major worldwide provider of plastic flow-control, irrigation, air-compression and other construction products. Their product lines focus on pipe, fittings, and valves. ###
