He has a track record running the show in Texas. A state larger than most countries. He has made great strides during his tenure there. He won a squeaker against Ann Richards. After Texans saw him for four years they elected him with about 70% of the vote when he was reelected. A very strong statement on the part of the people. He has a reputation of being able to build coalitions and consensus building on both sides of the aisle. He also has a reputation of being a great team builder. Gore has no prior leadership position excepting legislative and as second fiddle to the man he calls the greatest President in our history. He won't, in my opinion, build an effective cabinet nor be able to deal effectively with Congress. Also, he will be a frustration to our allies.

".....they don't exist." I can see how you would be skeptical after the last 8 years. Look to the representatives who consistently stand on principle. Issues founded on transient sentiment can be played like a volley ball, principle can't. A nation that is not founded on principle can be sold out....I hope you are wrong.
