MSFT market cap now at 295B loss off 360Billion; did they announce a closeout, going out of business sale or such?

Re: Upgrades (again)

I sincerely hope that Whistler will not be made available in upgrade form. Compatibility with ancient hardware and buggy drivers is one of the main reasons why Win95 and its successors kept a lot of the stability problems of Win3.1.

Given that there are around 130 million PCs sold annually, MSFT has no need for any upgrade business. Looking backwards is not the road to the future.
