You and I have different fears. My fear is that a Republican president, together with a Republican Congress, would: (1) Take us back to the back-alley abortion days of the mid '60s. (2) Load the Supreme Court with ultra-right-wing jurists. (3) Pass legislation giving big business an unfair advantage in areas such as labor law, stealing pension plans, etc. (4) Create a climate where more white-collar thieves (Keating, for example) could steal life savings from retired working men and working women. (5) Set back many educational and social programs that actually work. Am I tired of loose morals in the White House? Yes. But that is small compared to what I have listed above. Very small. Get off the truth squad crusade and start looking at the big picture more. You'll sleep better at night.
