Eric,

I don't think there is a correlation between skepticism/ability to deconstruct reality and political belief. The former is more a function of analytical ability, with some weighting to experiences. Political beliefs, on the other hand, are primarily determined by political beliefs of the parents.

Agreed, when the time comes to test or justify your belief, it makes a lot of difference if you need to swim upstream or downstream during this test. You may start in one direction but the strength of the current takes you away from your destination.

My argument with Dan is that the current exists, and you should be aware of it, even if all you need to do is swim downstream. Dan's point is that the waters are calm.

Joe

Eric,

First, I am able to access your profile. I am not sure what the problem is....and who is the count?

In addition I see you haggling with Engel over splits. Before this latest split, AMD had 150+ million shares. I find it very hard to believe that a tech company 30 years started out with that many shares......that would have been considered a huge float in those times. I am sure there were a couple of splits in there.

Engel knows that.....when he hassles everyone to this disgree, it usually means something big is coming down.....this time, there maybe truth to the Dell rumor.
