Ted, Its not dogma but fact....if a good education is not available to all peoples of a country, then that country will fail ultimately as a successful, vibrant democracy. But your statements suggest that you place higher value on "public" than "good". Does it mean that you will be content with our vibrant democracy failing, as long we become a failure via public schools? BTW, your view is consistent with Gore's opinion about what's good for other people's kids: public. When it came to choosing for his own, he chose good. Joe
