LONGonFIBER,

<Compaq's problems had less to do with hypergrowth, and more to due with a failing business model.> ... I HOPE THAT IS WHAT I DID SAY (if not, I apologize)

<investors have significantly tempered their expectations.> ... I hope so, but I believe a majority didn't

As a very LONG ... LONG-timer with CPQ, even after its debacles and drop to 18 (from 50) ... I still had too much profit ... therefore, taxes to pay, if I would sell. My decision was 1) CPQ was basically a good company and 2) I had to afford to be patient and 3) Where would I put any monies from a CPQ share-sell .... turns out on looking back, I would have put the money in the WRONG place(s) and lost more.

Decisons, decisions ... BEST of fortunes to ALL

Michael
