OK, let's go with your theory. He doesn't have the information, but he warns anyway, and so the stock tanks (and you would have been mad then, too). Then he gets the info, and it says that the quarter is on track. The stock pops back up, after soaking the people that were in when he warned. Don't you think that your suggested strategy is just as flawed as what has happened?

In my experience, DELL usually doesn't truly know how the quarter is going to wrap up until about one month before it ends. That would be this week.

SirJohn: I was not surprised but saddened to hear that DELL, the stock, has warned about its future revenue and earnings. This came after smiling mikey, with fire in his eyes, said previously he expected 30 percent sales growth for the full year.

I have two positions that I won’t miss. Hope you did not add more to your holdings.

To the garlicheads: With great personal sorrow, I ask to share your loss and to extend my heartfelt sympathy. Only those who have lost a bundle can know the depths of your feelings. :-@ I wish the many happy years will return so we can buy the stock in blocks again.
