lots of factors certainly point that way

1) CPQ finally is doing on-line config (finally) and steadily building more of their revenue stream via that channel - that's Dell's only channel so there's more shop and compare going on.

2) We've been in a tight supply chain market for awhile - that's tough on a BTO model company because it simply gets tougher to fulfill the new orders. When you have other channels such as distribution, at least you have some inventory to smooth out the supply fluctuations.

3) Didn't Dell cancel their webPC? Meanwhile ipaQ's are hot in every category

4) Alliance are getting announced in EC, B2B and ERP left and right by CPQ - that's got to bode well for their professional services outlook.

To me Dell's looking more like a boutique stock every day. AAPL has always been that way too. Too narrow. I'm not bashing Dell, its just if you are going to specialize in one thing you have to make sure it locks out the rest of the market - what used to be their advantage (BTO) now is more of a level playing field because you can now buy this type of technology from ISV's, eg it's more like a commodity.

Now, if only CPQ could be more thought of as enterprise/diversity oriented (not just PC) could this be the quarter? FWIW, I bought 1500 shares today to find out! Oh well, its only money -

IMHO
