Frank, Frank, Frank ... Did you also really believe Bush last night when he said he embraced the victim of the natural disaster because sometimes "all you can do is cry with them?" Really.

You also fall into a trap of many on this board that because I am for Gore I necessarily buy into everything the man stands for. That is not true. Reread my post #42603 as to my fears of a GOP presidency. They are real. Selecting a candidate is like selecting a mutual fund. You get a bunch of stocks or ideas all wrapped up in one package, and you must choose A or B. I may not like all the stocks or ideas in Plan A, but I choose it because it offers the best chance for my future prosperity and the future prosperity of the country.

On abortion: I have long been a proponent of adoption, and making it easier for more loving couples to adopt babies. Also, didn't Gore speak out last night that he would sign legislation dealing with third-trimester abortions?

Re: "You may be a nice guy but you have a value system that can be dangerous. You have bought in to Gore. You would follow him no matter what misleading positions or lies he tells. ... You need to back away and reconsider your value system."

Actually, I can be a real jerk at times. On the other hand, I am very comfortable with my value system. When Al Gore demonstrates that he is a hypocrite on the issues, I will no longer support him. At present, though, he is the clear choice in this campaign. Had the Repubs offered, say, a McCain or a John Danforth, then the choice would not have been so clear for me.
