IWOV woulda been sweet young man...

OK, Le French, like 'em or hate 'em. They gave us the Statue of Liberty and we gave them Jerry L. Well now we are giving them something more, be prepared...

Tomorrow morning, eBay will be launching
ebayfrance.com -- its first French site.

After the tremendous success of Ebay's original
launch, the online auction company has been rapidly
expanding its service in country-specific sites throughout
Germany, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan...and now
France.

With ebayfrance, French users will be able to trade
locally as well as worldwide, (a community of 15.8 million
registered users). And as an incentive, ebayfrance will be
waiving its normal listing fees for a short time.

You may remember last month, when Amazon launched its
own French connection -- Amazon.fr. Some are speculating,
that eBay's and Amazon's service are quite
complimentary and could lead to a merger of the two.

Le blah blah blah
