BUSH stretching the truth..........Gore camp says Bush "needs to answer for his own
falsehoods." He said Bush's claim during the debate that Gore has outspent him
in the presidential campaign was "outrageous."

"Bush has spent more than anyone ever has to run this campaign, including Al
Gore. Leading up to the general election, Bush spent twice as much as Gore,"
Hattaway said.

It's instructive to note the kind of person Gore embraced here. It probably wasn't a mistake.

What it means is he wants to make everyone wards of state - not just the poor.

I saw that story and couldn't figure out what all the fuss was over a retired union political operative with a good income and a fully paid house, who collects cans as a hobby to help pay her drug bills. Big deal.
