well, so far the pre-announcement season has brought forth lots of high profile disappointments...and even companies reporting good earnings for this quarter may have to adjust expectations downward. CSCO's quality of earnings, ROE, growth rates, have on balance all been deteriorating while its p/e has expanded to dizzying heights...and CSCO as everyone knows is probably the best of the bunch. however, there's a major cycle low expected in late October, so that may be a good buy point all of the above notwithstanding.
