I can only recall one idiot who claimed they bet against GE

I think if GE were to warn, it might send the market into a bit of a tailspin. GE just seems kind of expensive these days - sure they have some $12 billion in profits and $120 billion in revenues - but the company has a PE of 50! And if Intel and Dell are having problems in Europe, and UAL, Caterpillar, Kodak and Apple are having problems here - well it's hard for me to believe that GE is immune.
