HardyBoy: Good post but what would prevent MSFT from putting an O/S on a chip? The value added is in the code not in the chip. I mean MSFT could buy that expertise from any number of INTC's competitors by buying them lock stock and barrel if INTC were to throw down that gauntlet. At present INTC is having a hard enough time getting their Chip stuff together. The auto industry has had a long run and I liken the PC to the auto and the train to the main frame. JFD
