johnd: It appears that the white box is becoming a factor and therefore fragmenting the overall PC sales results industry wide as no one seems to have a good handle on how they are doing until the very last minute. As Hardy pointed out the consumer realizes that it is Intel or AMD inside that counts and that slapping a few mother/daughter boards together does not take a great deal of genius. This is probably where the leakage is coming from. BUT the people that buy this kind of CPU might be inclined to dabble in Linux. JFD
