Yeah, I thought about bottom feeding on HLIT but changed my mind. The argument for that is that they are fiber and remember what happened to CIEN (horrible sell off when they lost orders and then a strong come back). However, most people seem to think it goes deeper than T cutting back on orders. HLIT bought a business and did not absorb it very well. The earnings never came through. The management is getting a very bad rap from investors too. I think I will pass on this one.

I also have the feeling that GLW picked up a lot of the orders that HLIT lost.

advalorem, Since HLIT does business primarily with the addled T, I don't expect a market overreaction. The company is just not that big, too concentrated in its customer load and has management that previously deceived investors this year. Right now it deserves to be taken out back and shot. If we do get a down day, GLW would be my top pick to buy, though many others in the sector have recently been hit as well. tp
