Dennis,

I should also explain, that Im a really lousey stock picker. I had one big trade on a stock this year(ANCR), but since then Im in GOLD with HM in my options account and getting spanked now. Frankly, I hate playing individual stocks period. I think I have more luck picking which is the right buy day - either ROSH HASHANNA or YOM KIPPUR.

On a more serious note, I really dont like day trading, since I feel that it the repeditiveness could easily lead to gambling. Not that I was ever a true day trader, but for me personally it could become a temptation.

The downside with the mutual funds is that it is based on the closing price(exception is RYDEX), but fortunately my short-term technicals which are commonly early fits well with mutual funds. Yeah its a pain at times seeing big intraday moves, but cant do anything till the end of the day, but fortunately with PROFUNDS it gives the 1.8 TIMEs the move of the index which compensates for the lost intraday moves. If it wasnt for the 1.8 TIMES, I would be playing more options on the INDEX(higher risks) and play stocks(which I stink at) in the IRA.

Last night I rechecked my personal mutual fund account and its not up 35%, since I left out 1 big loss so it is really only up 30.2%.
