Just as I thought. You were talking about DDR266, not DDR200. PC2100 is not only more expensive but even when Micron had those developers sticks for purchase, they only had PC1600 ones. DDR266 is far away from real volume compatible reality.

That DDR200 (PC1600) memory that was used in both sites, is what people will be dealing with (if they are ever going to deal with anything that is). Not DDR266. Nobody has a clue when real volume production of DDR266 will take place in 2001. Many problems still exist with that line. So what you are saying then is that the DDR that will be shipping first (DDR200 a.k.a PC1600) is not only slower than SDRAM (and CL2 type that which is the more expensive SDRAM type) but also has higher latency. So the message for DDR fanatics is that they should wait for PC2100 (DDR266). Don't hold your breath though ;-)
