Painting the ticker was a practice that was done near the close on a stock for a number of years with an uptick.The practice is frowned upon(remember the RBC fund Managers)and there is now an uptick rule in the market that alerts market surveillance to investigate trades done in a small volume to uptick or Paint the ticker in the last few minutes of the market(i believe last 15 minutes).I agree that it does not make much difference in this wide spread but it sure is appearing to be deliberate these last few days.... If it is short selling, which I doubt it is,their time will come I am sure. The Osprey PS-The stock is super cheap in these levels IMHO BWTHDIK.....LOL
