David Epstein went over this supposed ``reduction'' in Federal head count about 3 weeks ago in Barron's. In fact 110% of the reduction came from a decrease in civilian employment at DOD, which means non defense Fed jobs went up. To make the statistics look good Dept often resort to placing many employees on special projects and dropping them from the count. The supposed ``end of big government as we know it'' was just a con job well orchestrated the Liar in Chief and his sidekick. Otherwise, this is business as usual for tax and spend socialism.
