Another Seasonality Chart Site

this looks at the seasonal S&P 500 performance over the 19 year period from 1979 to 1997.

bollingerbands.com

the interesting chart showing average seasonal performance of the S&P and the DOW from july through the following june is here:

i believe there are a lot of financial and social/cultural reasons behind the seasonal patterns that appear in the market. i sold much of what i hold, in today's rally, and i may sell the rest this week. i have no margin at present. at the end of october it all goes back in. margin and/or options will be very tempting tools to use until march or early april. i don't know what i'll buy - prudence would say, "the QQQ will keep me diverse and i can leverage with SOME margin and/or calls." greed would say, "i wanna find another QCOM for the winter, buy april calls and keep rolling them into higher strike prices and further out expiration dates till late march or early april."
