"take the easy way out and cheat"

Hello Arthur,

What do you consider cheating? Are you referring to overbought oversold?

Regarding long term curves a pivot function determines trend nicely but lags as an exit strategy leaving it useful only for filtering the direction of trades. Although this type of trend filter is contrary to overbought oversold oscillators unless used in same direction as trend, like buying dips while trend is up. In that case I wait until swing reverses up again suggesting the dips over rather than trying to catch a low.

A thousand curves or variables composite, object technology, best of breed generators and SAP all sound interesting. Please elaborate on what these are and how they might be implemented. I'm interested in TA regardless of which topics catch your attention so please comment freely about anything that interests you.

Best Regards,
Mechanical Method
