hdl "they changed" but what did they change....? the change was to upgrade technology, and when a better technology exists, then brand preference is not so important. if ibm 286 machines are replaced by cpq 386, then by dell 486, there exists no benefit in maintaining brand. but when all your large servers and storage are still technologically current, there is no reason to replace in totality. if you are going to add, most companies prefer like kind for ease of maintenance.
