3 charts caught my eye: STNV, oil terminals, popped off of a long base at $8.88 Also, KPP, at 18 mo. high; and IVAN, brand new, $4.75, in deal with SYNM's GTL project in Aussieland. COMMENTS PLEASE, if you know them, love them, hate them. Thanks.

Interesting Wall Street Journal piece on "Analysts" veracity...

Good comment (as usual ) form Fleckenstein's column here on SI:

<<..."The Wall Street Journal had a rather good exposé in section C on a prominent dead fish(analyst). The article insinuates that this particular fellow changed his rating on AT&T (T) to curry favor in an upcoming corporate finance deal, and now the stock is far below where it was when he upgraded it to buy.

This kind of thing goes on with great regularity on Wall Street and it shouldn't come as a huge shock. Nevertheless, the article is worth reading, and I'd like to share a quote from the dead fish in question: "Let's call a spade a spade. Nobody on the sell side puts negative ratings on stocks. Very few people have anything less than a positive rating." >>

I remember earlier this year when Abby Joseph Cohen was trotted out to defend Tech on its meltdown... she looked like a hostage being forced at gun point to read a propaganda speech... they are professional Salespeople & Spin Doctors - PERIOD: - "that" is how we must view EVERYTHING they say - period.

PS - you think the Shiek is $hi^^ing Gold Bricks on his palace throne about now; regarding his incredible timing on his massive buy of Priceline.com - of which part of his buy was the insider stock from the CEO Jay Walker wasn't it ?

...amazing !... you would think maybe with Priceline's announcement of discontinuing their grocery & gasoline operations today; that "someone" may have had an inkling a few weeks ago about this ? - not Jay Walker obviously...(ROFLMAO).

The $hiek becomes the posterchild for the "Greater Fool" theory... oh well; all he has to do is get $40 crude & he's even...

This is one RISK-LADEN market folks... insiders bailing left & right, tax loss season for individual investors just arriving, expect major outflows/redemptions from mutual funds upon Q3 statement arrivals...
