SAN ANTONIO, and MURRAY HILL, N.J., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- SBC Communications (NYSE: SBC - news) and Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU - news) today announced that SBC has selected Lucent as the primary provider of data, voice and access infrastructure technology for its national network expansion. The five-year agreement is expected to be valued at more than $1 billion.

The contract covers SBC's nationwide entry into 30 markets outside its traditional service areas.

I have held CHTR Jan 10 calls for some time now, up over 50% on the position. It's undervalued as a cable play even without the broadband data innovations.

I expect CHTR to break 20 by January.

Not very familiar with WSTL except from a distance.
