Wendisman - I think perhaps you're right about the "Gurus". . . . there are two kinds of "stops" to hit. . . .first the dollars then the leaders. . . .once they get the money they make sure, a certain individual profits-less-often, anothers angels wings get clipped, and still anothers turnips get a little juice squeezed out of them. . . .discredit!

Wes, I've heard your theory before. . . and often from my wife. There was certainly a concerted effort by Market Makers to stop Tokyo Joe and Kimberly, who called near-term stock plays. It seemed at times that Anthony was going through the same thing with his stock calls, only in the other direction. But it was much easier to attack them, because they all got pretty emotional about their trading picks. That left them vulnerable.

By contrast, I don't get involved with the stocks I trade. And I really don't care about the stocks or the companies . . . just the Individual Investors. We are not the principals of these companies. So the stocks and the companies are nothing but vehicles for us. If they become more than that to you, you are getting too close. [Soon we'll have the perfect remedy to this.]

For instance: I liked HLIT when it regularly made us money, back when it was close to $100. In the 20's I only liked it for pops back toward the 30's. [I made a lucky sell yesterday.] And bought back twice as much this morning. I don't care if the company comes back and becomes the next NT or not. . . .provided my swing-trade and position trade fulfill their goals. It is the TRADE that matters. Never the stock.

I also do not put more than 10% into any one stock. . .I don't make near-term stock "calls". . .nor do I state which stocks I am most heavily invested. I stay rather vague and unpredictable as a personal defense to such tactics. And still I post my hand more than I should.

When I do offer a thought, it typically includes several stocks, either from the same sector or different ones. This is done to remind everyone that even when you are armed with the perfect view of the battlefield, YOU still have to select your own targets.

But then I have been far more outspoken against Manipulators, Analysts, Brokerage Houses, the Media and even the SEC . . than anyone on these boards. So I can certainly understand how there could be a group of flunky brokers assigned to do nothing but play heavily against everything I mention. It would cost the brokerage houses next to nothing. . . yet could hold a sizeable group of individual investors at bay. . .at least from any near-term picks . . .and at least while we are posting publicly.

As for my reads, predictions or calls causing the "Po' Boys" to vary their plans even slightly. It sounds quite ridiculous. It is certainly doubtful. Such an event would always bring on the "Conspiracy Theory" critics and it really does sound paranoid. And of course I would NEVER actually consider such a thought, as I try to read the markets. So my 'official' view is that it does not occur.

But then knowing what we know, it would not surprise me to find out it really does happen.
