No, that is exactly the argument I have been trying to make with neocon, my point is that making a statement that $1 Trillion grows to $3 Trillion in ten years is not factual, since it takes ten years to accumulate that $1 trillion. Bush certainly did not mean take $1 trillion out of the current trust fund, allocate it to each tax payer (according to what ever formula( and then invest it for 10 years. He said current "young payers" will be allowed to allocate 1 out of every six dollars of SS into such a fund, and thus the $1 Trillion must be invested at the rate I suggested of $8,333 Billion per month and to get $3 Trillion you must achieve a rate of return of 19.32 % which is preposterous, and indicative of the weakness in Bush' intellect. It is plain to any objective observer. If you take the position that he knew he was misleading, then Bush is nothing but a wolf in sheep clothing. Or as he love to term it a "Compassionate Conservative", lot of compassion for ultra conservatives (g). He'll give them (1% of the population) 30% of his proposed tax cut. Very compassionate to some people all right. Give Gate a 10% cut, but you and I will get 6.5%. Since i do not want to take the position that he was misleading intentionally, I am left to conclude that he does not have the intellectual capacity to lead.
