<I watched the debate in its entirety and I thought Bush did much better than expected> The news media and all the pundits know Bush is an idiot/very low intelligence/clueless concerning in-depth knowledge of the issues. So, if he didn't screw up royally, which he didn't, I guess it is considered that he did well. The one time he went off script, when he spoke of Russia, even the audience laughed at his stupid remark. Lastly, since he has no grasp of the issues involved, and he was finished with his stupid one-liners (notice when Gore gave details concerning Bush's plan, Bush never rebutted), he had to resort to charachter attacks. Oh well.
