Well Jordan, I went to specifications and saw Windows as an 'option'. I read yesterday in their catalog (as can you) that Dell servers come with RH Linux free of charge (no money). I'm not quite sure what the point of your link is. The fact is an identically configured server with the Windows 'option' costs $799 more (min) than the same machine running *nix. --- The '40% less' result was usind Dell's 'entry level' server as an example. -JCJ

Jordan - when you go to price and configure on the DELL web site, you are looking at a temporary web page geared just to you, others can not access it. This allows DELL to provide individualized prices for "premier page" customers among other things. But you need to provide the generic link and drop down instructions for others to see the info - and BTW they may not see the same things you see.
