MeD - CPQ uses AMD parts in the consumer line. According to the GM of that group, AMD accounts for more than half of consumer sales.

But CPQ is 100% Intel in the commercial line - so on a units basis, they are less than 25% AMD in desktops.

Standard servers are also 100% Intel. While the server units are not big in comparison to desktops (about 10%), in dollar terms the server use of Intel product probably is about the same, as the servers use multiple chips and the chips are 4-5 times the cost of the desktop chips.

Still, the 25% or so of AMD on a units basis is greater than CPQ's lead in the desktop market, and so has clearly been a smart move.
