Correct? and if the operator understood the facts to be as you have stated the logical choice ( in a capitalist society) would be to migrate to CDMA 1x , HDR, as soon as the situation is appropriate. Given that the cost of this upgrade to 1x/ HDR is a cost effective upgrade choice. correct? Cost effective probably occurs when market demand curve intersects with utilization/depreciation curve necessitating that some upgrade is needed in the near time future. OR what your facts logically extrapolate out to is that when rational educated operators in a free market need to upgrade, Q makes a lot of sense. All that would be needed is "understanding" and a network of possible other operators to upgrade into/with. If all of this is true then the American operators will fall soon. They have a supporting CDMA network to join. ( I suspect China/Korea is a done deal that is not yet announced) Europe is the old block that will crack. It just needs that first significant operator to break ranks. QCOM REALLY WILL UNITE THE WORLD'S WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS. WCDMA IS NOT A REAL COMPETITOR. GIVEN AN EXPECTED AMOUNT OF TALENT THAT GOT Q WHERE IT IS TODAY. Q IS LIKE A DONE DEAL THAT HASEN'T HAPPENED YET. chaz, tell me if I am off base, please. I finally just "got it".
